Win my new book--Awesome August Blog Hop!

Posted by Melanie Jacobson at 8:29 PM
You want something from me, right? That's why you're here from the Awesome August blog hop?

And it's a good thing I have something to give you! One of the very first giveaway copies of my new book Not My Type! Whoohoo!

It's super easy to win.

1. Become a follower of this blog
2. Leave a comment telling me one thing you're thankful for

Why option #2? Well, Not My Type is about a hardheaded girl named Pepper who is forced to write a thank you note every week as sort of a "life therapy," and so she does it . . . with a grumble. But the thank you notes work an interesting magic and before she knows it, she's in the middle of a brand new life adventure even though she was sure she was over the hill at twenty-three. (You can read the first chapter HERE). Since each chapter opens with a thank you note, I thought it would be fun for everyone to drop off their thank yous, silly or serious, here in the comment box. Voila, you're entered. Suh-weet.

This blog hop runs through Wednesday night at midnight, so be sure to enter before then! The winner will be notified by e-mail.

Now that you've entered my contest, come meet all my other blog friends and see what fun things they are offering!

That's a really cool idea for a book. I think more people need to spend time considering what they have to be thankful for, rather than complaining. It's great to see a book that illustrates that! :D

Personally, I'm thankful for my wife, my home, and my job. Sure, I want to be a full-time writer, but life is a lot better than it was five years ago, and it's going to get better, still :)

Thank you for not failing me and crossing over that finish line at the triathlon this weekend. I know I put you through some rough times over the past year as we trained together for this first-time event, but it was worth it! (GFC follower - Gayle)

Dear Melanie -

Today, I'm grateful that it was only the electrical socket that blew out . . . and not my microwave and computer. How horrid would that have been? No zap for the food and no instant communication with my friends. Alas, disaster was avoided.

I followed your blog. And by the way - your website is total awesomeness!!! Love it! Big hugs to start off your day.

Your cyber friend,

PS - I accidentally put this on the blog post below this one too. Oopsie # 27 for the day. =)

Oh man!! I can't believe I missed this! How does your blog not show up in my reader? And why is my picture not in the box over there? So weird. I don't get the new (?) Google follower thing.

I know I'm not entering, but I'm grateful that one day I will understand about that follow thing and will stop wondering why it signs into a different account (and shows a different picture of mine) every time I click to follow someone. So grateful.
